I have two simple philosophies.
ONE: It’s a wedding, not a photo shoot.
So I’ll melt into the background and capture the magic, emotion and romance of the day as it unfolds without insisting on ‘this’ or ‘that’. I’ve never taken a couple away from their celebrations for more than 20 minutes for formal shots and if the group shots take longer than 20 minutes I would expect to be reprimanded by a senior member of your family. So unless you particularly want to spend longer on them, thanks to good communication and good planning, I’ll deliver your guests back to the party in good time too.
TWO: My service should include your images.
How could I shoot your wedding and then ask you to choose between 30/40/60 images ? I can’t, so I don’t. Instead I include high resolution digital copies of all your fully edited, sparkly ‘final’ images on 2 USB sticks for you to keep. Print them, put them in one of those fancy digital frames, show off on-line or even, if you really have to, make a mug or a mousemat. The choice is endless and yours.
If these philosophies ring true with you - I look forward to talking to you soon and planning the photography of your wedding.
